With our Comprehensive Plan you’ll have extensive coverage to assist you with increased peace of mind, subject to policy terms and conditions

Comprehensive Plan in brief*

With our Comprehensive Plan you’ll have cover for many things that could happen on your trip. Because the cost of getting medical treatment overseas could run to thousands of dollars we provide unlimited cover for medical assistance and hospital expenses~. Other great benefits include cover for lost or stolen luggage and up to $10,000 for other additional expenses. We’ve even included up to $1m cover for personal liability, in case you cause an accident or injury to someone else.

If you apply online you can have your travel insurance cover within minutes. As soon as your policy is in place you’ll have instant cover for cancellation fees and lost deposits if you have to cancel your trip because of an illness or incident. The rest of your cover will automatically take effect from the start date of your trip, as shown on your policy document.

When you’re travelling with your family you shouldn’t compromise on the quality of your insurance cover. We believe that peace of mind shouldn’t cost the earth, so we've tried to make sure our travel insurance cover is accessible, with a quality family bundle. Most of the benefit limits under your Comprehensive Plan will be doubled if you buy family cover. Please refer to the table of benefits for information on these limits.

If the worst happens while you’re travelling and you need help, we’re here. Simply call our 24-hour global assistance line - at any time, from anywhere in the world - and our expert team will help you locate medical facilities, embassies or consulates; get in touch with your family; or organise an evacuation home.

All our travel insurance products have a 14-day cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can simply cancel your policy and get a full refund, provided you haven’t made a claim or commenced your trip.

Policy Benefits

With our Comprehensive Plan you'll have an extensive level of cover. If you fall ill or are injured while you’re travelling we’ll help you access medical help and pay the costs of treatment you need* (although pre-existing conditions may be excluded), subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Cover is also provided subject to the policy’s terms and conditions for costs caused by cancelled or delayed flights, and for the cost of replacing lost or stolen luggage, refer to policy terms and conditions.

All our travel insurance policies provide you with quality cover. We know you don’t want to compromise on cover, so we offer the option to lower your premiums by increasing the amount of excess you’ll pay if you need to make a claim.

If you’re heading to the snow or off on a cruise, you can easily get the extra cover you might need for setbacks like bad weather or cabin confinement, by purchasing the additional Snow Pack or Cruise Pack for an extra premium..

Even if you have a medical condition that means we are unable to offer you cover for medical or hospital expenses, you may still be able to take out a Non-Medical Plan to provide you with cover for eventualities like trip cancellation or lost luggage.

Most trips go without a hitch and we hope that yours does too. But if something does go wrong you may need an insurance company who will act fast to provide assistance, which is why we offer a straightforward claims process and 24-hour emergency assistance line.

~ Where used, the term ‘Unlimited’ only means there is no capped dollar sum insured. Terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply as set out in the PDS. All costs and expenses claimed must be reasonable. We will only pay for treatment received and/or hospital accommodation during the 12 month period after the sickness first showed itself or the injury happened.
