We know that life insurance claims are always made in painful and difficult circumstances. To assist you, we have set out the ways in which you can lodge a life insurance claim with your insurer.

I need to make a claim on my life insurance policy. What do I do?

If you purchased your life insurance through 1300 Insurance on or after 1st November 2017.

Your life insurance policy is issued by Allianz Life, one of Australia’s leading insurers. To lodge your claim, please call Allianz Life on 1300 362 108 as soon as you are able to do so.

  • All claim matters are dealt with sensitively, promptly and efficiently
  • Regular contact to keep you or your estate updated and informed
  • Claims are managed with best practice principles

How quickly will my claim be processed?

We understand that life insurance claims are always made in difficult circumstances. Our life insurance partner, Allianz Life, will try to make the claims experience as fast and simple as possible.

If you purchased your life insurance through 1300 Insurance before 1st November 2017.

To get your claim processed as quickly as possible please notify the Zurich Client Service Centre on 131 551 as soon as you are able. You will be sent a claim form, which will need to be completed and returned with any supporting documentation such as death or medical certificates.

The 3 simple steps to making a claim

  • Step 1: Notify Zurich on 131 551 as soon as you can after the event.
  • Step 2: Receive a claim form.
  • Step 3: Complete and return the claim form to Zurich Australia with supporting documents.

How quickly will my claim be processed?

We understand that there are lots of immediate expenses when somebody dies. We always try to make the claims experience as fast and simple as possible so you won’t have to worry about financial matters at such a difficult time.

Claims for funeral insurance can usually be processed within 24 hours. Life insurance claims can take a little longer, but will be handled as quickly as possible.
